Sunday afternoon I went to my antique mall. I found a few 45s for my friend Tink who has a great Podcast on mixcloud. Not expecting to find anything for myself I decided to flip through the CD rack just for the heck of it and came upon this and of course had to get it!

Feb 16 2020
today it was 49 degrees. Thats pretty good being it was 31 yesterday.
I went down to the small lake off the canal and got these shots
OK its just a goose but I was trying out my close up skills!
Then I saw the ducks..
There was this beautiful Duck with red eyes. I wish he was closer so I could get a better shot!
I also saw a Robin red breast. A sure sign that spring is coming soon

whats been plating
Yesterday I did a random CD shelf pull and this was one of the CDs I pulled. I think I've only listed to it one and its now playing. Wow lots a cool jazz here. I'm really enjoying this!
recently I made a new mix making friend. His Name is Nick Haag. He sent me this mix a few days ago. Many of these I know but haven't heard in quite a while and there were a few tracks new to my ears. Dead Skunk still makes me chuckle. Nick ripped this from vinyl but doesn't use itunes. He has a CD burner you can hook up to the stereo. I didnt think that was possible. wow!

Jazzy Swinging Jams
I'm not sure exactly when I made this. I think around 2011- 2012! I was just getting back into listening to jazz.. after my dad died in 2006 I didn't listen to jazz for several months. My dad loved jazz and standards of the 40s and 50s. I didn't listen to any of it for months after Dad died. I got sad if I tried. I made this for a fellow mix maker and I made myself a copy. Herb Albert and The Pete fountain tracks remind me of my Dad but now its OK. I think many of the tracks came from the Library.
I listened to this the other night and it makes me smile now.
A retired coworker turned me on to Nina Simone in the Early 1990s when he gave me a record to put it on a cassette for him.
Medeski Martin and wood oh yeah the was one I picked up at the library. Bubblehouse was a track that I got turned onto along with the track blocked by glare here. sorry about that!
