For some weirs reason my other blog wont let me post photos anymore so I'll post them here.

Lets start with this years Halloween mix

Halloween is my least favorite Holiday BUT I made it for aa recent DJ gig so I hope you like it. Let me know if you would like music music related photos.

Beach Time 2020

Each year about this time I start thinking about a summer mix. With all this free time now my creative engine has been like a dog freed from its leash. This 2 disc mix is a combination of old surf rock, dub, reggae and ska!

Yeah I added a sprinklre of Classic rock with ELO and the beach Boys and oh yes whats a goos summer mix without Jimmy Buffett?

On this disc I ask myself what are some of MY fave tunes that say its summer to me? Many of these will have you dancing in the sand! Enjoy!

Jazzy Swinging Jams

I'm not sure exactly when I made this. I think around 2011- 2012! I was just getting back into listening to jazz.. after my dad died in 2006 I didn't listen to jazz for several months. My dad loved jazz and standards of the 40s and 50s. I didn't listen to any of it for months after Dad died. I got sad if I tried. I made this for a fellow mix maker and I made myself a copy. Herb Albert and The Pete fountain tracks remind me of my Dad but now its OK. I think many of the tracks came from the Library.
I listened to this the other night and it makes me smile now.
A retired coworker turned me on to Nina Simone in the Early 1990s when he gave me a record to put it on a cassette for him.
Medeski Martin and wood  oh yeah the was one I picked up at the library. Bubblehouse was a track that I got turned onto along with the track blocked by glare here. sorry about that!

Trish Picks 2019 1 and 2

Warning: eclectic playlist ahead. Read with an open mind.
My friend Maria gave me a gift card from itunes.I watch a few videos and some folks includes little sound samples when they talk about an artist and some of this songs were purchased on itunes while others were rippied from CDs I received as gifts or part of my collection.

.Disc 2 consists of music already in my itunes that I haven't really used in a mix is a while

Cool Classics

The other day I pulled out a bunch of CDs to pick out some track to rip to my itunes and here is the result

Beach Time 2019

Well its here.. My summer mix
Mostly Beach and surf times with a few funky tunes thrown in. My big inspirations were fellow youtuber Doug aka Fat City Vinyl who is my Reggae Teacher and Steve Carlson who also Love reggae,Soul and world music.
I did a little rearanging of the playlist last night but settled on this and as I'm listening to this I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.
I'm so looking forward to what my mixfans think of it.
