confession time

For about 3 years I had this account and a tumblr account. About a week ago they twitched thing up and tonight I could locate the darn sign out button so I said screw it I'll just delete my account so I did.
I thought I would use that account for photography and this for strictly blogging but not many folks followed me so why have 2 blogs when you one is the main blog
blogger wins! Bam! It work better too!

Spting into Summer

     Recently  I went on our library website and checked out the newest CDs they had.
To my delight they had some new world music CDs. I hit the request button on a few, especially the African beats.
 I was telling a coworker the other day that I often get a playlist in the head but sometimes can't come up with a title. She suggested the title. Bam!
I think I used it before so I called it " Spring into Summer 2015"
 I have another batch of CDs coming from the library and I'm sure another mix will come from that!
 Spring does inspire creativity!

So ready for Spring

Yesterday was our 2nd snowday this year.
Today I got up earlier and ready to scrape and dust the snow off my car. When I headed out the door I couldn't believe my eyes. There was NO snow on the car! The only thing I had to do is defrost the back window.
 The drive into work wasn't bad either but I course I drove cautiously. I kept Thanking God all the way to work.
I arrived at work 15 minutes early which gave me time for coffee! YES!!
The day was busy but being I had time to site and have coffee before my work day started was a plus.
   The 2 crates of mail we got neither shocked me or had me going "oh Lord!"
 I am so ready for spring though.
Outside photo and videos, bike rides and DJ gigs!
I also plan to get back to my 3 lap power walks in the Community park too!
There's a facebook group called The Jersey Shore Photographers. Id like to plan a meet and greet at a local deli have breakfast or lunch and then go to the Point Pleasant Boardwalk and do photo shoots.
 I think it would be neat!
these are just idea floating' round my little head at this point!
I don't know if this ideas or visions will amount to anything but its something to look forward to!
  I have been posting many videos on youtube like crazy lately but I'm going to take a break for a week or so.

Tuesdays travels

Another visit to my friend Eloise at her antique shop "Thoughtful Treasures in Point Pleasant Beach.While she was getting ready to close I snapped these photos. The donkey pic I flubbled up.

 on the way home I got a shot of these first flowers of Spring! oh how happy am I to see them?!!!

 Oh yes and then theres this.A promotional copy of a Frank Sinatra record! I don't have a turntable but will give it to someone who does.

Spring is close very close

I was chatting with a neighbor and we both noticed evidence of spring in your garden. Ah! This gladdens my heart, soul and body!
 for the first time in months my poor toes are freezing and I wore a lighter jacket today!
 we may get a little snow tomorrow night or Thursday. I'm hoping it will be just a little bit. heck it is march by the way.
 I finally did some shopping Saturday. Ink cartridges, CD-Rs, and CDs! I saw a few friends in my travels too! I'm cured of my cabin fever. Now m allergies are acting up but Allergies are OK!
  Tonight I got on  the OCL website again and put more CDs on hold. Heavy on the R& B from the 70s and 80s.The next  mix will be funktified!
  So I was talking to Franks substitute about church and that just going to church alone doesn't make you a good Christian.Many folks think this.
OK I'm all for going to church and getting spiritually fed and so on BUT that alone doesn't make you a good Christian.
 Take the lessons you learn in church and live them,apply them to your life! its not always easy and there will be temptation to forget but do your best each day.
If your curse or get angry confess it to God above. When your have a good day thank him! If your having struggles ask him for help. Church is a great place.it renews you and helps you face the week ahead but theres much more to being a Christian then going to church. People will see your Christianity by the way you act outside of church.
A friend once told me "you'll be blessed by your integrity. Wow I never thought of that. doing the right thing pleases God.

Thoughts ideas and plans

Man I hope that damn Groundhog is right about an early spring.Not that I put any trust or faith in a groundhog to tell us when spring is coming!Actually When i see a robin redbreast It gives me more more hope that spring is around the corner.
Once spring does get here I hope to get a few DJ gigs.I haven't had a gig since mid November.My friends the Sherman brothers and Ed Austin are in the same boat.
I plan to do a photo series on dogs and artsy mailboxes.When Im on my bike or walks I see some cute dogs.I;ll ask the owner If I can take their dogs picture and post it here.I think it would be cool.
There are some mailboxes around here that are painted and custom made and kind of artsy.I'll post them too!.
Oh yes my video tours of local shops will resume one spring gets here too!Those will be posted on youtube.

I belong to a group called the vinyl community.Its a group of music collectors who collect records,CDs and tapes.
I also have a little CD mix exchange group.each month each member gets the name and address of someone to make a mix for.We currently have have about 28 members.let me know if you would like to be a part of this!

A Beautiful Monday

The sounds of spring.
Birds singing Children playing and the call of seagulls.The sky was a pefect blue,Our garden in in good shape thank to Nancy and the lawn and porch is ready for outdoor enjoyment Thanks to both Nancy and Dan!
Today I went for a very enjoyable bikeride after work.I had a few things to get.Claritan D topped my list.I love this time of the year but the only hard part is the allergies.
I worked on the newsletter last night,copied it today at our local library and will mail it out tomorrow after work.
I also mailed out a few mixes and will start emailing mix club members to tell them who their lucky mix partner is.
This time of the year I also start to see yard sales.I have a little can of change Im saving for such an occasion.Last year I made out pretty well.Some years I do well with yard sales and other years I don't.
Last years was mostly a success because of Knight and KC.I dont know if I'll have a lucky streak 2 years in a row but only time will tell.
Memorial Day weekend seems to be the popular weekend for yard sales and garage sales!
