what is soul and funk?
Today the closest thing to what I call real soul is Sharon Jones! Nothing else defines it like artists did in the 1960s and 70s! A few have tried though. I pulled this out and listed to a few tracked and a few made it on to my recent mix! news on that coming soon!

Recently I cashed in a jar of change I saved up over the summer and put in on my green dot debit card. The next dat I went on the light in the attic website and bought a few CDs and this was one of them
 I have been digging reggae and soul and funk of late. I don't know any of the artist but I took a chance anyway and glad I did. Its like a blast from the past. I'm sure this songs were on the radion but I didn't discover that greatness of FM radio till about 1978!
There are some cool tracks on here including a cover of of the Beatles "Hey Jude"

Saun & Star are 3 backup singers in Sharing Jones band
When you here this you would swear this was from the 1960s Motown era.
THIS IS REAL SOUL! no hip hop or artificial heavy bass.
I give it 2 thumbs up!
