What a week. back to work,new car and yes my phone is fixed.Oh yes and I updated my itunes and it prints fine now.They corrected the printing issue!Yay! I heard about the shooting in CT and its sad.especially when innocent children are killed. I'm not watching to much news because its just too sad. Alicia showed me what out downstairs of the school looks like.it's completely gutted.I guess Franks was right not letting me see the damage in the beginning. I saw a quote from someone I think it was on facebook saying "mix making is coming back"huh when did it leave? I hope to get some serious Christmas Shopping done this week!

oh Happy day

This Morning I woke up at 8:30 looking forward to returning to work. After a month of not working I was starting to feel useless.The students are teachers are Back at BHS!Knowing it was going to be a busy crazy day I left early and stopped at The Bay Breeze deli.It wasn't that cold this morning and I was hoping and praying mother nature would give us a mild start of winter being I'm still without a car. it was a busy day as i was sure it would be.I stayed until 2:30.I had to make copies if the emergency contact book so our nurse could have a copy for her office.most if not all her files were destroyed in the flood! When I got home I saw a red car in the driveway.infact it was also a convertible. We have company i thought or is it..no it can't be!Nancy and Dan told be Id be getting a convertable so in the summer they could cruise around in it in the summer while I was working at the beach. I went in to say hi to nancy and ask her if she needed anything from the store.I then asked her who was here.She replied no one.Is that .. I started to ask .She turned to me smiling :Merry Christmas! We went outside and she showed me all the features.Like my other car it has a CD player AND a cassette player. To Top it off its a VOLVO! iI TOOK IT FOR A LITTLE RIDE.I Have to adjust my seat so im not up so close but that's OK. The excellarator is a little touchy but I'll get used to that.I like it!

December random chatter

Sadly Atomic CDs closed their Doors.Now I will hunt for another place to buy used CD's in addition to Ocean County music, consignment for cash and the antique pavilion. Not that those places aren't good but I'm always on the lookout for new spots but that will wait till spring I guess. I gave Nancy my Christmas wants and had them noted in my phone but deleted them so i'll be surprised on Christmas. Wednesday I expect things to get closer to Normal as BHS is opening up again.As much as the time off was kinda fun Im starting to feel useless!Uhoh Yeah i need to get back to work!! I may crank Out another mix before Christmas vacation. If the weather is permitting My Camera and I will go on one last adventure of my unscheduled vacation. Today was unusually warm for December but I'm not complaining,heck no!I got a lot accomplished because of it. 16 packages containing Christmas mixes in them,cards mailed and even a stop for a late breakfast and then off to the drugstore for allergy meds.I had a half hour to spare before I went to the dentist and All is well. NO Cavities.Although I do need to step it up on the flossing. Ok well thats all for now! stay tunes and be well Trish

I got this in the mail today along with part 2 and a bunch of CD mailers my friend Retro Joe sent me I laughed outload when I heard the New Christy Minstrals version of do you hear what I hear.Its so differant thant Andy williams version that Im used to but I like it. I immediatly put both mixes in my 5 CD changer and listened to Christmas music while writing out cards!

the year in review 2012

2012 what a year! I am now a woman of the 21st century.I have a digital camera.Now that I have one why did I hold out so long on getting one? I am also of member youtube.I joined this little group called the vinyl community.OK we are growing.Although i only collect CDs they accepted me and many others like me because its all about the music, man! I've even learned to make slide showed and post them on Youtube. OK so does this make me a geek? 2012 started out to be a nice year but its not ending that way Hurricane Sandy hit us with a serious punch.the flooding destroyed both my car and Nancys van.Luckily she was able to get new wheels a few weeks later after renting one. Atomic CDs is closing shop.Eric says he has been thinking about it for awhile.I bought a few CDs today and stayed under my self imposed $20.00 limit!I celebrated my self control with a coffee and blueberry muffin at the Green Planet Coffee House being Rock N Joe's is also a victim of hurricane Sandy. The business district of Point Pleasant Beach escaped pretty much unharmed from what I've Heard. Another sad note.My uncle Jimm died in Mid October!I will miss you Uncle Jim!OK now to upload a few photos! Lets all hope and pray 2013 is much better!

community service

Today I spent 2 hours at St Pauls Church in Bay Head.I didn't move mountain but thats ok.The day Started out wiping down chairs with a Clorox wipes.then I unrapped some new Testament books from the plastic wraps they were in.after they were all unwrapped I put then back in the box they came in and put the box on the back pew.Finally after folks were done eating I cleaned off the tables. It felt good doing some community service.I felt not only was a helping the community but also doing a little work for God. later in the afternoon Nancy took me to the Doctor. my BP was good but he said I needed to lose weight.

Today I Deejayed for a great bunch of folks at Public works.I felt good to gift of the spirits of folks who are working hard to help those who need it. Im seriosly thinking of going there tomorrow to lend a hand myself.I still consider Bay Head my home town being I spent 30 years of my life there and most of my friends are there.I want to give back to the town that has been so great to me.Not because I have to but because I want to!Call it being led but the Lord if you will!I have some time off from the school but I don't want to sit on my butt and be lazy I want to help out in some way.

the heat is on

Wednesday afyernoon my furnace died on me! Today I gor a new one!I went 3 days without a shower because it was just too darn cold.There a heater in the ceiling of the upstairs bathroom but when i turn it on it smells like toat burning I don't trust it!If you know why it gives off that smell please let me know. Today I got a few thing done and went to a new place for lunch and bought 4 used CDs at the consignment shop I go to. Speaking of music 2 more people signed up for my CD mix exchange! Tomorrow I have a gig at the BH public works.more later on that!

Just as my spirit was recovering from all the drama of sandy I smelled something bad yesterday.I was trying to figure it out when my sister informed me that the electricians just left and I have no head because something in thw furnace was shorting out.It will be repaired on Saturday! never a dull moment!

new Christmas mixes going out!

Yes Folks its that time again when I start sending and handing out Christmas mixes. Here are some questions folks asks me Q:Isnt that expensive? Well sure I do spare more on postage this time oh yeah but when there a happy person at the receiving end Its all worth it! Q:How do you pick the tunes? Sometimes I have a playlist in my head and other times its just picking and choosing. Q:do You Always have a theme?No not really there's only a few times where I have themes.Themes limit your creative juices.Its like being on a short leash.Of course there are time folks will say only mellow stuff or say stuff like don't include this artist or Genre and if Im making a custom mix I pretty much stick to what they want! I love when my mixes turn folks on to new artist or genres My Christmas mixes are my fave theme to work with. Oh yes Ill post my Christmas mix playlist some time this week!

This CD is great to calm the soul and relaxing the mind.While I was at the nation Aquarium in Baltimore I heard this CD in the background.While it was a fun day I had my friends and family in N.J in the back of my mind.The music in the gift shop somehow took my worries away.I had to get this music. I ask the sales clerk if the had it and she told me where it was.almost $20.00 with tax but I didn't mind.its just what the doctor ordered!

the calm before the next storm

Yesterday I wok up and it was snowing..This weather is nuts.So today Im just walking to the local 7-11 for tea and milk. on a music related note while my internet and cable and phone were down I listened to some old mixes on cassette.the only tape player that works is the one downstairs.dayam!Id like to take a hammer to my 20 year old portable dual tape deck for dying on me.grr! thinking of a new mix for November.title title come to me! Im also working on a Christmas mix!Being theres snow on the ground I feel OK about sending some CDs out now.lol!

oh Sandy

Hurricane Sandy really know how to pack a punch!shes a home wrecker alright!Lucky for us we had minor damages to the house but my car was flooded out. Bay Head,Mantoloking and other towns south of us were really hit hard.most area schools were also hith with massive flooding. This Past weekend Nancy,the kids and I went to Baltimore and met up with Donna Mullins and her Daughter. I havent been Many places but Baltimore is a nice City! We went to the National Aquarium,Barnes and Noble and The Hard Rock Cafe!We stayed at a beatiful Hotel and had room service for breakfast. We arrived home at 3pm Sunday afternoon.The front of almost every house had items that were ruined by the flood in black plastic bags.There was also furniture. Phone and cable service was restored tonight. I hear we are getting another storm but not as bad as sandy.ugh I hope we don't get anything like that for another 50 years!

How death reminds us.Be good

Today I read online condolences for my Uncle Jim Everyone said such nice thing about him that were so spot on! We are not here forever but while we are we Have the power to pave the way for a better world.We can leave behind a legacy of love,kindness,honesty etc.Or we can be lying mean self centered jerks but its up to us. I choose the live a life of love,happiness,honesty etc.I don't ask for much in life.Some days are better then others.There are days I feel like i'm on top of the world and others that I feel like I can't get worse. I'm blessed with so many good family and friends in my life and it helps me carry on and lead a life for the better. I miss the family and friends That are now in heaven but must go on and follow the example they set for me and continue that legacy. Thank you Lord for my great Uncle Jim.He is in good hands now and we will be united one day!
