The Earthday report

The Earthday Celebration at the Riverfront Park went well. There was good food,lots of venders and music too. It was 60degrees and partly sunny and the wind was calm. When I wasn't dehind the DJ booth  I was making the rounds and taking videos and pictures

Happy earthday 2015

When Hurricane Sandy hit us 3 years ago I never thought anything would grow in our garden again with having it ripped up and all new plants put in but luckily even our plants are Jersey strong.
  I have since gained a deeper appreciation for these great wonders of the earth that come back each year at this time.
I recently heard a clip of an old evangelist asking do to clean up the earth and make it pretty or tell people about Jesus Christ. my answer?
Both!
Each year this plant come up from the earth despite harsh winters and hurricanes. We are her for a short time. God shows us the beauty of plants and trees and it took him 6 days to create the earth.
We should honor him by keep this earth he worked so hard to make beautiful and teach the next generation to continuw to keep it nice so they too can enjoy it.

It was a beautiful weekend here at the Jersey shore.
Yesterday was a great day for photography and videotaping. I did and video tour and did an interview with Laura at the Jolly Tar.

There will be fun and festivities at Riverfront Park in Point Pleasant starting at 12 Noon.
the will be fun, venders and entertainment by The Sherman Brother Band,The South Sandwich band and a Local DJ, DJ Trish.
 The following day The Beach House classic surf Shop will be hold their annual spring board swap.

     In Other news..
I am sad to report that Carl Conover has Died. He was a volunteer firefighter at the BHFC and for many years had a hot dog and Arizona tea stand on East Ave. He was a gentleman and called me Patsy. I guess he know my Mom from church so being I was named after her she was Pat and I was Patsy or little Patty. He often complimented me on my DJing and liked what I played.

End of March news and ramblings

Last night I got curious about what new CDs our local library had.
     I went on their website and search for new music in March. Some world music, Disney classics and now 53 were among the CDs I put on hold. I also have a few things overdue that I must return tomorrow.
 as far as adding music to my collection I have no urgent desires apart from 3 CDs I ordered from Cd Connection.com
 I got to weed out before I add any more. I'm in that process now.
  Today we got a few packages of books to samples and review at work. one was on this big bubble mailer. after my boss opened it I asked him if I could have it. I told him that I send records to vinyl loving friends and upon getting home a record just makes it. A few 7 inches or 45s would do better.
 OK now for some DJ Trish news! Once again I will have the pleasure of spinning tunes at Point Pleasants earth day on Saturday April 25 at 12 noon at Riverfront park. its a volunteer gig but its the first gig of spring and I get to meet up with friends , see bands when the bands are playing I get up to grab a bite to eat and take videos and photos.
Being earthday is later in the month I hope it will be warmer too!
