new updates and idle chatter

Thursday I went into work and was a tad early so I went into the boiler room for a cup of coffee ans there next to the boiler was my handtruck with new wheels!Franks not one to take money for tasks he thinks are small but I want to give him something.
I tried to ask him where he got the wheels and he said he stole em off a wheelchair in the hospital.I wanted to tell him I knew he was full of --it but held my tongue!
I'll get him a gift card for Dunkin Donuts or something like that.
Today I went Over to Cafe de Point for a Blueberry Muffin.There was some interesting artwork on the wall and they were going to have the featured artist come tonight.The sky was looking grey but if it cleared up Id go check it out.
Sadly the weather was still iffy at 6pm so I just had dinner and 2 big glasses of wine.
Tonight I finished my new mix but i'll post it sometime this week because Part one might get some re-working.
Tinight I gave Nancy a bottle of Luna de Lune for mothers day.THAT put a smile on her face!

music news,updates and other thoughts

After work today I picked up a few Cd's of the putumayo series I ordered a few nights ago.I got one called Jazz around the world which should be cool.My next mix is going to be called thumbs up 2011.Its going to be a 2 CD mix.Many songs from the Putumayo series will be on it.
If your interested in or curious about exploring world music.The Putumayo series is a perfect series to check out.My favorites are reggae,steel drums and other African music.The rhythm and beats are great to dance to and listen to.

In other news I just found out In addition to myself,the Sherman Brothers Band will be playing at earth day too!
I mailed out some CD mixes to the rest of my cousins and a few friends and theres a couple I still want to send to but I'll wait till next week.Ill make a list of who I want to send to and get enough envelopes.

Today I wke up at 9.30am and heard the guys work on installing our new Air condioning units.I got up and got dressed,did some emailing and headed out on my bike.My first stop was Bay Head School where I gave Frank a Beach house T Shirt for his birthday.He liked it.Then I stopped in the main office to chat with the boss and The secretary and enjoyed the cool air.Afterwords I went to see Laurie in the BOE office who is stressed by personal issues but was working hard just the same.I told her she can come down to the beach early in the morning for a decompression session.The way the sun reflects on the water in the morning calms any and all frayed nerves!
Next I went to the post office and mailed out a few mixes a some friends.My belly was telling me it need somethingso I pedaled on Over to Rockin Joes and got a great burger with fries.
Next I went and bought some CD-rs and then to the library to pick up some cds I ordered.
My last stop was Bay Point Market to get soda.Gonna be on the wagon for a bit.This weekend I felt I did a little to much drinking.Time to put the brakes on that and be on the wagon for a while.
Now for a power nap and then dinner.
Good news we may have our new ac working tomorrow night and some new CDs arrived in the mail todaso a new mix will in in the works soon!
