OK Im ranting..im sorry!..wait no im not.One guys zipped past me on the bridge just to be the first in line to get the red light when the gates were going down.Ha stupid jerk!Got far didntcha..not! A cold day brings warm reflection

After a busy day at work I decided to walk to the post office to mail out 8 packes of CD mixes.it came to $17.00!OK a tad costly but well worth it.When folks see something special like that in the mail after a busy day at work and enjoy the music $17.00 goes a long way!Call it an obsession, call it a hobby but I enjoy sending music to fellow music lovers. Many times I get a few mixes in return.
Shortly after my dad died i found a site called Internationalmixtapeproject.com
I got my first mix on a cold wintry day after a busy day at work.
I have a small notebook filled with names and addresses with folks who like me loves sharing this great hobby.
OK Im Rambling!alright so I mail out my mixes and get milk and also a bottle of wine.
When I was heading home it was dark.During this time of the year I enjoy walking after dark and seeing all the lights and decorations adoring peoples houses.
It amazing me when I see a whole tree decked out.You can tell who really took time to make the property look nice and festive and who did things well half baked.I love Christmas. The Joy on the ChildrenS faces and the music and spirit fill the air.
Im going to do the best I can to go for more walks after work to see lights and decorations around my area.
TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY!HO HO HO!MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

Oh the winds of November

8am.My alarm woke me up and for awhile I stayed in bed just listening to the news and music. The was going to be up in the 60s today so I hit the snooze button hearing the wind.I finally got up at 10 because I knew I was meeting Knight and KC at Rockin Joes coffee house for lunch and I dint want to oversleep.
I got up ,got dressed and booted up the computer and checked email, library holds status and then facebook account.
About 1:30 I shut the computer down and headed out.It seemed windy but not too windy for a bike ride.No one was home on the other side so I brought in the mail and let Bayou out.I noticed her biscuit jar was filled so I wrote a note on apost it note
Dear Mommy and Daddy
Thank you for refilling my biscuit jar
I'm so glad to have such great humans
Love
Bayou

I gave here a some rubs on the back of here head and she licked me and I kissed her on the head and headed out.
I pedaled hard because there was a strong North wind.Things were easier going into Bay Head.I arrived at Rockin' Joe's Shortly after they arrived.I had a toast Bagel and a large cup of coffee.
After words I went to Atomic Cd's.It used to be just music so its more like a nostalgia shop. The CD selection is smaller and the Vinyl selection is bigger.
I bought a Fiona Apple CD and the 30 Greatest hit of Aretha Franklin. Its a 2 CD set but it was only $10.00.thats worth it!I got both Cd's for $12.00!My little Brain told me."Trish just say thank you and shut up!"Guess I got the frequent buyer price.Something I'm sure the other customer might frown on.
Plus I gave Eric(the owner a Christmas mix!
Now that It gets darker earlier I must remember to head out earlier when going out on my rides on the weekends.
The ride home was nice. The wind had subsided.

Seafood Fest 2010

My day started at 7am with a shower and then it was off to the drs.
Nancy and I got home about 9:20 and then I went about the business of crankin out a few mixes for people I knew I would see today.
I hit the road by bike at about 10:30 and went to the post office, the Library and then the seafood fest.
I got my usual fish n chips as I have for the past 20 years. One year I broke tradion and tried a burger but it was too well done so I stayed with fishn chips from then on.
around 12:30 it started getting really crowded so I hopped on my bike and went to the Tiki bar.
Dr Cheeko and the guys were great. They did a melody of Micheal Jackson tunes by request.I had 2 beers and went for a walk after the first set and walked down to the inlet.
I wanted to go back for DR cheekos 2nd set but I was tired.
when I got home I took a nap.It was a busy day!
This year My toes were not run over by wheelchairs or baby strollers!
