Every year a farmer brings Chicken eggs to our school and a few days after they arrive little chick hatch. Today was the last days of they're stay at BHS and tomorrow they go back to the farm.

Field day 2015

I might not have told you thia but
This year I Deejayed at BHS's field day.
I played a few sports standards like the rocky theme and the Chariots of fire.I also played dance classics,Classic rock and snuck in some reggae and ska!
The kids and stuff liked it. I saw kids dancing and a few parents bebopping during lunch when I put on an oldies mix.
As hard as it is lifting and moving my gear is Its all worth it when I know the people were happy and spirits and moral were lifted.

My Mentor retires

after 30 years a service to Bay Head School Frank Alechko retires.
Not only was he my coworker but he was my mentor. I learned how to DJ through watching Him at School Dances.
 I also consider him a brother. He had s heart of gold and like he was a Christian and we vibed on our faith and life in general.
 We had a little going away ceremony for him. He didn't want any parties.

a perform many duties at BHS. one of them is changing and updating the outside message board. Yesterday the Wind was low and it was in the mid 30s so The boss asks me if I could do the sign. I jumped on it like a flea on a dog and got it done in good time

Cool stuff in June

Hi Folks
with summer arriving we can finally shake off the winter blues and get out and have some fun!
June 1st the Beach house will be having their annual spring board swap!

June 7th Bay Head School will be having their annual Davy Jones day with water slides, food, fire truck rides and music by DJ Trish!

March 2 Random Chatter

Eveyone says we are going to get 3-4 inches of snow tonight.augh! enough already.
Im so looking forward to spring. Green grass, flowers and other plant life blooming and well OK allergies do act up but I can deal with that.
About this time of year I am feeling a winter depression but I had 2 DJ gigs this winter. That's helps keep the winter blues away.
 Today I got a call from a fireman friend who want me to make a mix of songs. He has a list that hes giving me this week. That helps too! being able to make mixes and bring others happiness through music is fun!
The snow and winter vortex won't keep me down. It will provide an opportunity to make mixes. my Creativity has been  on fire this winter oh my gosh.
 I almost have 300 subscribers on my youtube channel. Wow!
my videos will be more interesting when spring arrives! Heck year boy!!
   Things are going well at BHS! Frank and Tony rebuilt the teachers room and we all love it!
Theres a happy vibe in the building. I think its because the post Hurricane Sandy depression is pretty much over with and things are really starting to come back together again.
   Once the spring does arrive I plan on doing some video tours again in shops.I hope to add interviews with merchants too!

More Thanksgiving and random thoughts

So January 2013 Things start to settle down and the process of starting the year on a positive note begins.
Repair and clean up from Hurricane sandy Does too. I anticipate replacing my computer sometime near may or June. Murphy's law steps up my schedule to Mid March when it just crashed. The blue screen of death appeared and nothing will boot up! The words I was using when this happens were as you can imagine bad. Gee I hope I apologized to God for that!
Once again Nancy and Dan came to the rescue and got me a new one. Setting it up didn't take long.
So Big Kudos to them.
   Asking for help is something that's hard for me because there are things I want to do myself but can't. Especially things that require heavy lifting. There are time I with I had superhuman strength but I never has much into athletics since high school.
 I don't drive at night either because the oncoming lights hurt my eyes and I got headaches after doing so in my early driving days and nights.
  In my Last Blog I failed to thank my friend Valerie Boyle for her help in being my roadie On top of being recently divorced, the downstairs of her house was flooded by sandy and is just now halfway repaired.
 I complained that I had only one gig last year while many lost their houses. Thats doesn't mean my heart didn't heart for them.it did!
I have so many folks in my life who inspire me to keep on and all I can do is wake up each day and hope to make just one person happy or cheer up one person. All I can do is to do what I do and hope someone is blessed by it.All I can do is do a good job and do my best to set a good example for others and prayer they see my honesty and integrity.
 This summer the beaches did reopen. The only challenge was navigating the rocks that were exposed and Not falling and getting hurt
Thankfully no one did!it was a good summer.
Most of my regular patrons returned.
 Repairs on the downstairs rooms at BHS are underway thanks to Frank and Tony. I often remind Them to "Please be careful"Franks replies what, you don't want me to have time off? Only if you win the Lottery! I tell him
    The new Beach platforms are being built and man are they big!I joked with one guy that we will have to start training boot camp style in the spring to get the strength to get up the stairs.I can see Hank in cammies standing at the top yelling come on up those stairs! Move it! Mooove it!
  I continue to make new friends in a community on youtube called the vinyl community. Its a fine group of music lovers who show their music collections and talk about what they listen to.

We all Have one thing in common.we love music. It doesn't matter what format you collect.Records,CDs or tapes.you have a voice in the VC! Some of us send nysuc to each other.We call this VCLT(vinyl community Love train.)
 I have been called the CD mix queen by some.My fellow mixmaker Daryl Washington is our King!
  There has been so much to be thankful for this year!

Catchin' up

Hello folks Its been a while since I've written a straight out blog.Once again Davy Jones day was a great sunny day.The night before I had my doubts mother nature would cooperate BUT Saturday Morning I saw the sun and blue sky and man was I happy. This Saturday im DJing a 50th Anniversary party.So psyched about that.I think there will be 200 people there!Im sure I'll get a few folks dancin. Im not sure when I'll be spinning at Movie night yet but I'll Keep you posted.There maybe a short dry spell after the 50th Anniversary Party or perhaps I'll get a few more gigs.We shall see! Things are gettingbusy at work as we prepare to end another year at BHS.The 8th grade and kindergarden are Practicing for the the promotion ceremonies. Before I know it i'll be returning to my post at the BHIA.It won't be the same without the Zuvers there.Mr Zuver died and Mrs is living in Florida.The dune grass behind there house is high in Parts of the yard.Keeping folks off the dunes without the fence there will be stepped up! I visited my friends at public works today and they are busy! Im going to take a little break from posting stuff on youtube and pay attention to this here blog.Really.I've been neglecting you guys. Today I mailed out 6 packages containing what else..CD mixes!Speaking a mixes the Admin at Zenrunning order is closing down the sight.He is overwhelmed with spam and junkmail and stuff of that sort!I hope to maintain contact with most if not all the fine friends I made there. Im still active with the IMP and the Cool Grooves mix Exchange(My own little mix trade group!) OK so Happy Summer Everyone! Peace,Love and Music Trish Cheers!

flamin' tongue

OK I just couldn't stay away!To much to tell! Yesterday was our staff party at BHS.We had it at monalyssa's. the food was good but theit was hot.I bit into what I thought was a regular green pepper and surprise it was a HOT pepper!My eyes haven't teared that much since Dads funeral.aww dayam!I drank lots of water because my tongue felt like it was on fire.Lesson learned! I was extra careful and avoided the peppers.we laughed a lot and caught up on each others lives. The other day my friend Duke gave me a mix challenge.to have a few genres on a mix.game on!Mine starts out with a few instrumental tunes followed my r&b,world and I finished it off with some country and bluegrass! Track list to be added soon. Frank put me on a CD hunt.Eric Burden and the Animals winds of change.I found it on oldies.com and ordered it.I myself was on a CD hunt for a song called my boomerang won't come back by Charlie Drake.I found that at CDconnection.com. with all this hunting and challenges im finding it hard to think of a new mix but will think about that after Christmas. Meanwhile a have a stack of Christmas CDs hear with post it nots on the jewel cases reminding me of which songs I want it my itunes. I'm getting excellent feedback from a few folks who said A Joyful Christmas is my best Christmas mix ever.Next years will be more diverse! I have a few more little gifts to get but being its been a busy crazy couple of days today I'm just Chillin'.I'll do the rewst tomorrow after work. MERRY CHRISTMAS,HAPPY HANUKKAH AND HAPPY KWANZAA AND A HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. Hows that for political correctness.Eat my dust Newt!
